nessa’s shoes (by Ana Luísa Pinto [Luminous Photography])
[Every week, there will be a letter, going through the order of the alphabet. Every Monday, I’ll open the Chambers Compact Dictionary and I’ll randomly pick a page of the said letter. Out of that page, I’ll randomly pick a word. And every Friday, there will be a picture based on that word.
Welcome to the Alphabet Tales. ]
Wicked, wik’id, adj. evil in principle or practice, deviating from morality, sinful, ungodly; mischievous, spiteful; (col) very bad.
I had to. I couldn’t get one of my favorite words and not reference the wonderful book and musical they take me back to. So here you have my Elphaba, finally wearing Nessa’s shoes and socks. It’s not how it goes, really, but truth be told, I can do whatever I want with them, in my head. Right?
I finished this project. There are still three photos to post, but they’re done and ready. I’ll spread them out a bit, until next week, but I’m done. I have nothing else to do, but post. It’s such a strange feeling. I feel like crying, and I have no idea why. I think it’s because I hadn’t forced myself to finish a project in such a long time. I know these aren’t 52 photos, but it’s a series. A series that has a start and a finish, and a line throughout. It’s more than I thought I could do.
The real thank you notes will come with the last photograph, but for now, stay wicked. ;)
